Avran
Having made music his whole life, the co-owner found a love for underground dance music whilst attending raves in his hometown of Birmingham. Inspired by the electric crowds, Avran began producing and DJing during his first year at University, leading to the co-founding of Murky Sonics alongside Isochrone.
Now an AAJA resident, the young artist's output is inspired by a vast array of genres and influences, blending bass-driven sonics with experimental percussion, and even a sprinkling of folk dance, to create a unique style that helped define the Murky sound.
Crack Sparrow
Captain Crack Sparrow is one of the most versatile DJs in the Murky crew - whether it be drum 'n' bass, post-punk, funk, soul, roots or rocksteady, you know the South London boy is going to step up behind the decks and deliver. He would be your favourite DJ's favourite DJ, if they knew who he was.
“There is no better feeling. Playing music you love to people who also love it."

Delian Sound
Delian Sound is a London-born, Cambridge-based producer who makes music inspired by the 2002-2003 post-Garage/proto-Dubstep scene, and features samples from early electronic pioneers such as Delia Derbyshire and her contemporaries at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.
Boasting releases on heavyweight labels such as EC2A, Dimeshit and Outhouse Sounds, Delian Sound is firmly rooted himself in the UK bass scene with support from the likes of Izco, Mia Koden, Breaka, Jossy Mitsu, Ila Brugal, Riz La Teef, Keysound and Fearless Dread.
Isochrone
One half of the founding duo of Murky, Rob was surrounded by drum and bass & jungle from a young age. His love for bass driven music naturally led him to the sounds of old school dubstep and grime, and later into the realms of breakbeat, electro and hardcore. In his sets he merges the old with the new, the light with the dark and the smooth with the experimental, bringing together influences from all corners of the UK scene & beyond.
Away from the decks, his true passion lies in building a lifelong music based community, where people from all backgrounds can dance freely to high quality music through a high quality soundsystem.

Izzi
With a sound and innovative style that encapsulates what Murky is all about, Izzi spins selections from underrepresented artists and blends UK dance music with more global club sounds with a “strong emphasis on knitting together tight drum breaks and warm wubby basslines”.
The past year has seen Izzi explode onto the London scene playing sets alongside the likes of Ahadadream, Flowdan and Neffa-T at venues such as Village Underground, MOT and Phonox. She’s also begun to establish her name on the festival scene at Outlook, Glastonbury, Queen’s Yard and, of course, Murky Forest.
Jewelz
Jewelz is a North-West based DJ whose debut sets at BAGFEST, Murky Forest, and Lock-In have been animated by high-energy and heavy-bass tracks. Catch Jewelz layering feel-good dancefloor tunes with heavier neurofunk, or flipping between ghetto tech, wobbly breaks, and hard techno.

Kazi
Shortly after starting mixing 4 years ago, Kazi soon became a resident DJ and event manager for Origins and joined the Murky family, debuting her sound at our collaboration with Lock-In down at The Vault in Bournemouth in 2021. She seamlessly blends together the sensualness of Afro beats, dancehall, jersey club and various Latino genres with the synthiness and bassyness of grime, funk and breakbeat to create sets that aim to get everyone's hips moving.
Luvah
Luvah is our all vinyl, all loving turntable maestro. Having cemented himself as a key figure in both the old school drum and bass and the funk, soul & fusion scenes in both Bath & Bristol, he has also tried his hand at events in recent years, heading up the incredible Stafford Sounds nights in Bath. He is an expert in providing a journey to his listeners - seamlessly taking them through smooth, funky jazz all the way to hard, gritty darkside.

MC DOME
Straight off the dome, the Bournemouth born, Madrid based MC smoothly combines his creative lyrics with an energetic flow that has kept our dancefloors moving well into the early hours throughout the years.
He knows when to take centre stage and showcase a freestyle or even provide a laugh - but crucially, DOME knows when to blend in and act as a middle man, enhancing the connection between the DJ and the dancefloor.
Medusa
Blending the rhythms of tech, breaks and acid with the vibrant beats of baile funk and Latin grooves, Medusa spins a hard, fast mix of tracks that captivate dance floors across both Spain and England. Born in Barcelona, she brings her heritage to the decks, infusing her sets with the fiery spirit of her Spanish origins. Away from dance music, she’s an established reggaeton selector in both the Barcelona and Madrid scenes, providing steamy flavours week in week out.

MontyG
MontyG is a man of many talents. DJing, producing, events, festivals, lighting, tech - he can do it all, and do it well. He started out spinning vinyls with his dad when he was 10, and since then has DJ’d and organized parties across Europe and both North and South America. Most notably, he was a key part of the La Paz techno scene in Bolivia last year, holding multiple residencies and playing at the legendary Levitar.
He has produced several EPs over the past 4 years, with a main focus on liquid and minimal drum and bass, but has also explored the realms of hard tech, jungle and even hip-hop. Monty is the man behind Lock-In events in Bath and was the orchestrator of Wissett festival, which was the primary inspiration for Murky Forest.
Mossambi
Mossambi is a producer and DJ based in London. He made waves with his breakthrough debut EP “Resurf” released via esteemed label All Centre in 2023. This was followed up with a release on Dublin-based label Woozy later that year. He now presents his second EP “The AI Told Me To”, once again on All Centre, backed up by a remix by UKG stalwart Holloway. His musical style has been described by DJ Mag as 'a mutant strain of club music with a distinctly ethereal edge', fusing experimental sound design with bass heavy dancefloor sensibilities. Mossambi also co-runs the club night 'LAYA/TALA', which seeks to promote underrepresented artists within the experimental and bass music scene.

Ortlieb
Over the past year, Ortlieb has ventured beyond his usual rough breaks and clinical UKG, crafting a distinctive fusion of old school techno and acid trance that transports you straight to the 90’s dancefloor. With appearances at El Dorado, Murky Forest, and Bagfest, the Frenchman’s euphoric and nostalgic output offers a refreshing contrast to the gritty breaks and basslines characteristic of many of our other residents. So gather your friends, share a hug, and get ready to immerse yourself in the sounds of the Ortlieb.
Redhood
Caught in the tension between futurism and tradition, Ana’s eclectic style is a fusion of music from various corners and eras of the musical world. From funky chopped-up beats mixed with ‘90s hip-hop, nostalgic sounds from the roots of rave, to dark, seductive old skool drum & bass, Redhood is a multifaceted DJ with a goal to guide the dancefloor through a diverse world of sounds and emotions.

Rift
Whether it's future garage or minimal drum 'n' bass, Rift has been producing consistently impressive tracks since the age of 14, and, in recent years, has produced some of our favorite dark breakbeat tunes. He’s already built up an impressive portfolio of releases on labels such as Overview, Free From Sleep and Delta9, and has some very exciting releases lined up for the coming months on some legendary labels. With a recent feature on Noisia’s VISION radio, it’s clear just how highly regarded his productions are by the industry. He’s also had some impressive sets behind the decks recently - making an appearance at Liquicity and on Charli Brix’s Christmas radio show.
Stack Effect
Originating from Manchester and now based in London, Stack Effect has honed a distinctive sound in recent years, balancing euphoric atmospheres with low-end grit, creating music that resonates in both club and home settings.
Following the success of his two EPs in 2022, 'Could It Be You' and 'Pause', Stack Effect made waves with his debut album 'Iridescent' the following year. Showcasing his versatility, the album traverses ethereal soundscapes, features his signature pitched vocals and emotional synths, and even ventures near the realms of dubstep.
In his DJ sets, Stack Effect explores his trademark ambient sound, but also incorporates dance-oriented techno and breakbeat, alongside more experimental and glitchy beats.
